PADI Discovery Scuba Diving - Introductory Course

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be underwater, surroudned by marine life? If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the full certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it.  While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use the scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater word.  

This course takes about 2 hours and it includes understanding the theory and basic diver practices, plus the basic rules of diving, becoming familiarized with the equipment, and certain rules and practices that guarantee a confortable and safe dive, with an instructor being close to you the whole time, ensuring that you have a pleasant and wonderful diving experience in this Caribbean paradise. 

PADI Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Diver course teaches you all the skills needed to become a certified diver and start enjoying the wonderful adventure of the marine world.  The Open Water Diver certification  is a full entry level certification you earn by successfully completing the entire Open Water Diver course.

This course will qualify you to: 

• Dive independently (with a certified diving buddy) while at the same time applying the knowledge and skills that you learned in this course, within the limits of your dive training and experience.  You will be allowed to dive a maximum depth of 18 meters or 60 feet.
• Learn to use basic scuba gear including a dive computer, and standard accessories. The equipment you wear varies somewhat, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water
• Plan, conduct and log open water no stop (no decompression) dives when equipped properly and accompanied by a buddy in conditions which you have training and or experience.
• Continue your diver training with a specialty dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water program, and or in PADI specialty course.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

• Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom ) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
• Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
• Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

  This course is a continuation of the Open Water Program providing certified divers the opportunity to experience a variety of dive types in greater depths with navigational knowledge and a new set of skills.  A series of 5 dives over 2 days including, in addition to a deep and navigation dive, 3 of the following adventure specialities; Boat Dive, Peak Performance, Buoyancy, Night Dive, Wreck Dive, Underwater Naturalist, Multilevel and Drift Dive.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

You’ll increase your skills by completing five adventure dives that introduce you to:

• Underwater navigation
• Deeper water diving (typically anywhere from 18-30 metres/ 60-100 feet)
• A sampler of three more Adventure Dives of your choice
